How to Create a Switch Pair

Designate TOR Device

To designate a switch as a TOR (Top of Rack) you click the Designate LAN TOR button . This button is presented from the toolbar in the upper right from Topology/Topology/Network View

The Designate Lan TORS button opens a window that lets you identify your TOR devices. All items in the left column are identified as TOR devices and all items in right column are identified as Switch devices. Make your choices by clicking on the device(s) whose identification you want to change.

Manage Switch Pairs

To manage switch pairs, you must click the Manage Switch Pairs button to open the corresponding window . In addition to the button being available in the Network View toolbar, it is also available in the Designated LAN TOR window.

Creating Switch Pairs (Redundancy Pairs)

The Manage Switch Pairs button opens a window that lets you manage and create Switch Pairs, also called Redundancy Pairs.

To create a Switch Pair, you must fill out the following form fields under Add Switch Pairs:

• Name
• LAG
• Endpoints (2)
• Multi Chassis

After you complete the form and save your settings, your Switch Pair is available in the Network View as a virtual object.
